Visit Us

The James Rose Center is open to the general public daily May 15 - Sept. 1.

Hours: Self-guided tours available 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Monday through Friday
Educational lecture/tours available 1st and 3rd Saturday, May through September 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
The Center is also available for group tours by appointment. Contact us (above) to schedule a visit.

Fee: $8 per person

Directions: From the south: Travel north on the Garden State Parkway, exit at Route 17 (first left exit after Bergen Toll Plaza). Proceed on Route 17 North and take the exit at Ridgewood Avenue, towards Ridgewood. The James Rose Center is approximately two miles west of the exit on your left side, at the intersection of Ridgewood Ave. and Southern Parkway.

From the north: Travel South on the Garden State Parkway to the second exit after toll plaza at Ridgewood Ave. toward Ridgewood. The James Rose Center is approximately two miles west of the exit on your left side, at the intersection of Ridgewood Ave. and Southern Parkway.

Purchases and Donations

Heavenly Environment

A limited number of Rose's fourth and last book, The Heavenly Environment, are available for purchase. The book features some of his later work as well as a good description of the evolution of Ridgewood, his residence. Contact us to purchase your copy or send a check payable to The James Rose Center. The cost of The Heavenly Environment is $40 plus $6 for shipping and handling.
The Heavenly Environment and Other Crimes

A 30 minute videotape and DVD featuring Rose discussing his alternative approach to contemporary suburbia while taking you on a guided tour of several of his most recent projects is also available. Contact us to purchase your copy or send a check payable to The James Rose Center. The cost of The Heavenly Environment and Other Crimes is $30 plus $6 for shipping and handling. Please specify format (VHS or DVD).
