Planning Your Visit:

Admission to the James Rose Center is a guided tour experience. Guests are welcome to walk the house and gardens after the tour led by our staff.

The guided tour lasts about 30 minutes.

House tours run rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather, the Center may temporarily close off access to the roof garden for safety purposes.

All tours start on the top of the hour. (10am, 11am, 12pm, etc.)

Guests should arrive 10-15 minutes before the start of their tour to check in. Guests may wait for the start of the tour in our main entrance area or the gardens.

Running late? We are happy to push your appointment to the next tour slot.

Personal photography is welcome but we ask our guests to refrain from bringing obstructive equipment including, but not limited to, tripods, selfie sticks, etc. Space is limited in the house so please be respectful of the house and other guests.

The James Rose Center is run by a staff of interns and volunteers that help to make your visit as enjoyable as possible. Please be kind and respectful and adhere to the guidelines set forth. Guests will be asked to leave without refund in the event of any reckless and inappropriate behavior along with failure to cooperate with our staff.

Accessibility:

The house and gardens of the James Rose Center feature many areas that present uneven surfaces, raised tree roots, narrow doorways and stairs. Our staff is committed to help all visitors so they can enjoy the house and gardens to the best of their abilities.

Parking

Parking is available on the surrounding streets. As the Center is in a residential neighborhood, please be aware of parking sign restrictions. Additionally, please do not park in the apartment building lot across from the Center as they are reserved for residents.
