Autumn is a season of turning—of changing light, shifting colors, falling leaves, and quiet preparation for what comes next. Inspired by the changing natural landscape of the James Rose Center, The Turning invites us to pause and reflect on the seasons of change in our own lives.
Through poetry, meditation, journaling, mindful exploration of nature, and meaningful conversation, we’ll consider how we might meet change with greater openness and curiosity. We’ll explore the transitions we are experiencing, what we may be ready to release, what we want to carry forward, and how we might make room for what is becoming.
This is a reflective, experiential workshop designed to offer a space to slow down, reconnect with nature, listen inward, and share in community. You are welcome to bring your journal or sketchbook for use during the workshop, but materials will be available for those who do not bring their own. No experience with meditation, poetry, or journaling is necessary.
